Join us for a special afternoon to celebrate the lasting legacy of the Thelwall 1100 Festival. This free community event offers a final opportunity to revisit the highlights of the festival, enjoy creative displays, and come together to mark the closing of this remarkable year of celebrations.

 

What’s On

Main Hall – 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm

• 🎨 Festival Art Gallery Encore
  Browse and purchase original artworks, craftwork and photography from local creatives.

• 🎤 Meet the Artist – Mike Hoyles
  Chat with our Artist in Residence and 2023 People’s Vote winner. View his limited edition T1100 commemorative jigsaw.

• 🧵 Chaigeley Legacies
  See creative work from the Men’s Shed and Ladies Art Class.

• 📚 Meet the Author – Jenny Jones
  Author of 110 Interesting Things about Thelwall will be available to chat and sign copies.

• 🕰️ Heritage Displays
  Another chance to view the T1100 heritage projects, village history exhibits, and legacy publications.

• ☕ Celebration Café
  Enjoy tea, coffee and homemade cakes throughout the afternoon.

Walks & Folk Recording

• 1.00 pm & 3.00 pm – Guided and Self-Guided Walks / Children’s Trail
  Discover Thelwall’s heritage signs and hidden history, starting from the Parish Hall foyer.

Key Moments

• 2.15 pm – Assemble for Commemorative Walk
  Join us as we walk to the unveiling ceremony.

• 2.30 pm – Unveiling of the T1100 Commemorative Stone
  Held in the Parish Hall car park.

• 2.45 pm – Celebration Cake Cutting
  Thelwall Rose Queen leads the closing moment back in the Main Hall.

• ⏰ Parish Hall open to exhibitors only from 9.30 – 11.30 am for artwork drop-off and display setup.

• 👣 All activities are free and open to all ages.

• 🧁 Refreshments available all afternoon in the Celebration Café.

• 🚸 Children’s Heritage Trail available during both walk slots.
